This volume, with over 130 maps, is designed to meet that need. It covers the entire span from the Bronze Age in the Aegean to the reign of Constantine, and focuses not only upon political and military developments (with many battle plans), but also upon such varied aspects as archaeological discoveries, trade, colonization, and religion.
