Fourth edition of a collection of religiously inspired poetical reflections, poems and songs, mostly referring to rural matters, by the Mennonite Jan Claesz. Schaep (1640-c.1676), a succesful farmer who, beacause of his poetic hobby was nicknamed the 'Wormerveer Cats', after the great poet Jacob Cats. In the attachment some new poems are added. The first edition appeared in 1660.
