Second edition (first 1620, same collation) of this satirical work in which human vices and follies are symbolically illustrated. It is an interpretation of Th. Murners Der schelmen Zunft (Frankfurt/Main, 1512) in verse, arranged as an emblem book, the engravings being accompanied by two mottoes and an explanation in prose. The title means as much as 'the charlatan of charlatans'. In accordance with this title the book begins with an epigram to Momus, the god of mockery.
