- Text in English and German. - Jo Röttger (b. 1954) accompanied Robert Wilson - the great man of theatre - on a tumultuous global journey. From his Watermill Center, Long Island, his apartment in New York, alongside preparations and rehearsals from different productions in Warsaw, Paris, Berlin and Taiwan, during a visit to Athens, encounters with Dervish dancers in Istanbul, and during the opening of the VOOM exhibition in New York. Throughout the journey Röttger kept his distance from Wilson - a prerequisite of the project - wherein neither the photographer nor his subject acknowledged one another. - Fine copy
