United States for the Social Science Research Committee, International
Gerontological Association, by the Division of Gerontology, University of
Michigan.On the first endpaper signed by J. Munnichs. With the note: Oktober
1958 Königswinter. Included loosely: two folded sheets with handwritten texts,
also featuring some notes in the margins by Munnichs. The front of the cover
shows rust, with the text's letters shaded. Joep Munnichs (1927-2000) was considered the doyen of psychogerontology in the Netherlands. Professor Joep Munnichs, a pioneer in the psychological discipline of gerontology and a professor of psychogerontology at the KU Nijmegen, authored "Old age and
finitude" (1966), exploring human preparation for life's inevitable end.
