- Barbara Hammer (1939-2019) was a film maker known for exploring female sexuality and everyday struggles for woman such as gender roles, lesbian relationships and coping with ageing and family. In addition to that, she was also a performance artist, making installations and photographs, collages and drawings. Therefor, she was inspired to document her own personal life and since she identified as lesbian this was naturally part of her life. In 1974 she filmed Dyketactics, widely considered to be one of the first lesbian films. - In Truant Photographs, 1970-1979 her photographic images taken between 1970 and 1979 come together. - Fine copy
