- First edition. - Frits Weeda (b. 1931) photographed Amsterdam and surroundings from 1958 to 1965. His photographs show the city subject to change. The demolition of the old, rotten houses and districts, the surrounding landscape, the new building, children playing in the rubbish, car wrecks, city scenes. But the photographs also give a picture of a changing man. In the early years, Weeda's photographs are still full of light and positivism, through the years they become darker, more dramatic, more abstract. - Good/fine copy
