The series arose in reaction to the large Jewish settlements that were realized in Israel and in the occupied Territories in the 1990s. Shvily captures in her photographs a sense of estrangement arising from the sheer speed that these homes were built with, and that the construction projects are used as a means to occupy territory. - Good copy
