- In your hands is a selection of photographs made by Algirdas Seskus [Vilnius, b. 1945) while at work as a camera operator at the National Television. All the images were made between 1975 and 1985. The book is published on the occasion of the 60 year anniversary since the first television broadcast in Lithuania. - Algirdas ?eskus found photography in 1975 when he learned that he would need to bring ten photographs to a job interview for the position of cameraman at the only television channel in Soviet Lithuania. Nobody looked at the pictures, but the camera he bought for the purpose showed him the world anew, and he continued photographing for the next decade. - His photographs freeze fragments of an intimate and mysterious sensual life - distant and quietly opposing the official canon's depiction of Soviet reality. - New copy
