- With loose inserted piece of paper with text: 'The Russian Fleet - This book was first printed in 1893 by order of the brother of Tsar Alexandre III as a present to the Tsar on the 200th anniversary of the Russian Fleet in 1896. - A very limited reprint was made in Finland in 1993 to selebrate [sic] the 300th anniversary which will take place in 1996 - this was done privately and we believe that only 300 copies exist.- The text is in Russian and French.' - Reprint of paintings by Vasily Ignatius (1854-1905). - 'Sail' stamps on first blank, else a good copy
