De spaties tussen de zinnen zijn erg ruim en het boek is getypt.
Wellicht het voorstadium door de schrijver voor de finale eerste druk. !?
In perfecte staat.
The psychodynamics of the death process of a fifty-eight year old woman are analyzed based on a series of spontaneous paintings whose symbolic content emerged reasonably unadulterated from the unconscious. the dynamics of her psychic processes that occurred solely on unconscious levels are investigated and discussed in order to show that the unconscious confronts and contemplates issues (such as death) even when the patient consciously remains ignorant or denies their essential import. Using her motifs as a central point, the dissertation tangentially discusses the dynamics of psychic phenomena generally surrounding death. the analysis shows how the unconscious attempts to bring consciousness to the issues inherent in dying, encouraging terminally ill individuals to realistically and directly confront their impending demise. One of the outcomes of this confrontation is that individuals must shed personality facades and social roles and humble themselves to the depths of their personalities. Another outcome of this confrontation is that many patients acknowledge and experience a phenomenon called the "self" (or soul), i.e., the center of the individual's psychic existence. This center is associated in the unconscious with symbols of wholeness, centeredness, transcendence, and eternal life. Following the symbolic motifs that developed during these final five months of her life, one sees how the unconscious swings to and fro between death as annihilation and as transcendence. the unconscious attempts to build up one's conscious knowledge of both polarities of the death process, emphasizing first one side and then the other, ever encouraging the patient to experience the deepest, most essential aspects of the personality.
