Photographically illustrated throughout with more than 30 stills from the movie. First edition. Text in Dutch. In publisher’s illustrated wrappers. This famous edition is damaged!!! It looks if somebody made a hole in the back with his teeth. Never the less it is still a rare, scarce and exeptional example.
The Dutch version of the illustrated Metropolis-edition of the Filmstar magazine, with Boris Bilinsky’s famous Metropolis-montage on the cover.
On front and rear cover the so-called “Metropolis Technology Montage #2” by Boris Bilinsky, who is responsible for most of the publicity materials like posters, books, postcards, programs, newspaper advertisements and magazine spreads for the release of Fritz Lang's Metropolis in France.
As “Filmstar edition Nr. 16” the French version of the magazine was published on the same day as this issue, with the same image on the cover, which was also reproduced (though therein reversed) in the press book for the French release campaign by Alliance Cinématographique Européenne also in 1927.
