With 61 tours and 114 walks covering the whole of France, region by region, the book provides a variety of opportunities for walking or touring wherever you happen to be. Every tour can be completed in a day, and the walks on average are about 3 miles (4.8km) long. In addition, as each walk starts near a tour route, days out can be planned to include both activities if wished.
Each walk and tour is accompanied by a specially drawn, full-colour map extracted from IGN’s 1:25,000 Série Bleue and 1:250,000 Série Rouge.
The routes are highlighted on the maps and points of interest to be seen en route which are described in the text are also shown. Separate, detailed route directions make finding your way easy, whether by car or on foot.
In addition to this wealth of practical material, there are colour photographs throughout the book and special boxes of information of particular interest to each area.
