The Companion is divided into two parts. The first consists of seven essays placing the various aspects of English literature in the perspective of English life and thought. The second part is a reference section with alphabetical enteries on the principal subjects, writers and works. Emphasis has been placed on contemporary literature, and bibliographies are given for major writers.
The two sections together provide a comprehensive description of English literature in its changing cultural and historical contexts. The special attention paid to background information makes the Companion an invaluable text and day-to-day reference work for readers overseas, especially those who are studying English literature at university level.

Retourneren is mogelijk binnen 14 dagen. Retourkosten zijn voor eigen rekening.
