And in the extraordinary title story, a liberal junior-management executive tries to teach his young black boyfriend, newly arrived from the South, the "acceptable" language and mores of gay culture - an endeavor that lead to a devastating moment of self-exposure. With wit, subtlety, and uncanny accuracy, Philip Gambone shows us how even the least glamorous places places and encounters can give rise to startling and mysterious epiphanies.
